Love the American "low & low" style of BBQ? Like to take your BBQ skills to the next level? Then this event is for you! I say "event" rather than class as this is an experience not to be missed.
Join us for the “American BBQ Class” and discover everything you will need to know to master the "art of smoking".
The award-winning Double Barrel BBQ competition team will be on hand to showcase the four most popular competition proteins, beef ribs, pork, chicken and lamb. We will take you through all phases of buying, preparation, cooking and presentation. Take advantage of their successes both here and internationally to gear yourselves up for home entertaining or serious competition.
A little bit about Double Barrel BBQ. The first Australian Team to win the coveted American Royal International Champion team and the first Australian team to place in Brisket at the Royal which is the largest BBQ competition in the world with over 590 teams competing that year.
The team also has won 5 Australian Grand Championships and 6 Reserve Grand Championships including the biggest Australian comp Port Macquarie BBQ Wars including 11 brisket trophies, 9 pork rib trophies, 14 chicken and trophies in various other proteins.
The award-winning BBQ team will chat all things meat selection, trimming, brining, rubs, smokers & cooking. Here's your chance to learn tips & tricks you won’t get anywhere else.

- Full protein selection, trim and preparation
- We discuss brining, injections, marinades, mops, rubs and sauces.
- An in-depth discussion on cooking methods, smokers, wrapping methods versus boating etc.
- We look at the different styles of presentation including box layouts and glazing etc
Not only will you learn the secrets to perfecting low and slow barbecue, but you will also get to EAT all the delicious food we cook together!
