A Back Brace Stainless steel is a must have when cooking a full animal on a spit rotisserie. It is used to secure the centre of the animal to the skewer by being mounted around the spine and the skewer. As the meat cooks, it becomes limp and without a back brace you'll likely find that your whole hog, full lamb, or whatever full animal will be lost to the fire.
